This week (yes I know it's Friday) I'm starting a new painting for my daughter. She has a new room to decorate and I've decided to paint something new for her. She has requested a rainbow rain painting based on this one:
I've decided that Sierra's will be a close up of a girl jumping into the puddle with splashes making up the drops instead of the rain drops. So I've collected some inspirational photos to help me with the splashing and the boots:

The best part about making art for my family is that it doesn't have to BE anything in particular. It doesn't have to be marketable.
It can just be.
What a relief.
